Kayaking

In the world of whitewater, there are few things more exciting than taking charge yourself, and paddling through the rapids in a small inflatable kayak. It is the newest and most exciting way to see the river...up close and personal. In a "duckie", or inflatable kayak, you now have the chance to test your own skills and paddle the river on your own. At Highside Adventure Tours, we make the Colorado River available for duckie trips. The Colorado River sections are calmer, class I and II water, perfect for the first timer, families, or someone just looking for a pleasant float trip and are available from May to September. On duckie trips, there will be at least one professional kayak/raft guide for every four guests, and usually a raft along as well for support, as your safety and comfort is of paramount concern to us. There really is no thrill like taking control yourself, and challenging the river one on one. Give us a call at 1-800-997-3448 and we can set up an exciting duckie trip for you and your family or friends this summer!

Transportation available from Summit County and Denver. Call for pricing and details. 800-997-3448

Rapids that don't seem too difficult in a raft take on added significance when you're at water level...A guide nearby at all times ensures your safety while you take on the challenge of rapids like Yarmony, Eye of the Needle, and Taco Rock. With natural hot springs, countless swimming holes, prehistoric dinosaur tracks and our famous BBQ lunch, it's a great way to spend a fun and relaxing day in the Colorado sunshine.
