Adventure Tours Biking Activities in Colorado
Highside Adventure Tours offers a variety of biking activities for Colorado visitors
and residents alike. Our most popular option is our Vail Pass Shuttle trip. We
provide the bikes, the helmets and the shuttle drop off . . . all
you have to do is ENJOY!
Our super-popular Vail Pass Shuttle Downhill Ride drops
you off at the top of Vail Pass (elevation 10,666 feet) and you
cruise 14 miles downhill, through Officer's Gulch along 10 Mile
Creek (a high alpine snowmelt runoff river) and enjoy the beautiful
scenery, glimpses of wildlife and abundant wildflowers. The
ride also takes you through Copper Mountain ski resort and past
the Copper Mountain stables. Take your time on this trip,
stop for lunch at Copper and a paddle boat ride, or pack a picnic
for lunch by the creek. Marvel at the beauty of the glowing, golden
Aspen in fall, and the abundant wildflowers in spring. Keep
your eyes peeled for elk, moose, mule deer, redtail hawk, eagle,
marmots, and the lynx habitat of the White River national forest. This
is biking adventure you won't want to miss!
- Biking and Rafting Combo -
"Pedal and Paddle"
Another
of our most popular biking activities in Colorado is Highside Adventure
Tours' biking and rafting combinations, where you get to have all
the adventure offered by the Vail Pass Shuttle Trip in the morning,
and then spend the afternoon river rafting. This combination
provides a full spectrum high alpine adventure! For this trip,
we drop you off at Vail Pass at 9:30 a.m. and you ride back at noon
to begin the next phase of your perfect outdoor day in Colorado's
high country. Your rafting choices for this package include:
- Bike Rentals - If you want to plan your
own biking activities, Colorado provides plenty of options and
Highside will be happy to provide the bike, helmet and other accessories. Our

to hardcore single track mountain bikes with state-of the-art front
suspension. Our comfort bikes offer 21 speeds, and feature
bigger seats (great
for those of us with slightly wider backsides),
front suspension, and raised handlebars that allow for riding in
an upright position which is not only more comfortable but is much
easier on the back neck and shoulders. We have a wide selection
of sizes, plus kid's bikes, trailers, tag-a-longs and tandems .
. . a bike for every need. Helmets are included
with all rentals.
- Custom Bike Tours - Our custom bike tours
include easy downhill rides to challenging single track. All tours
are guided by a professional bike guide/mechanic that is certified
in First Aid and CPR. Call for details and pricing for bike tours.
