From it's headwaters in Leadville Colorado through the world famous Royal Gorge the Arkansas River is packed with fun exciting whitewater, secluded Canyons, 14 thousand foot peaks, and abundant wildlife. Nestled in the hart of the Colorado Rocky Mountains the Arkansas River Valley offers many fun and exciting activities other than rafting such as Natural Hot Springs, camping, hiking, shopping, biking and much more. Camping in the secluded Browns Canyon makes the Narrows / Browns Canyon 2 day trip one of the best overnight river experiences in Colorado perfect for groups looking to get away from the hustle and bustle of every day stress.

All Arkansas River Trips - meet at are Buena Vista Office with the exception of the Royal Gorge Full day trip.

Arkansas River / Browns Canyon Full Day


This is the most popular full day trip in Colorado, and for good reason. Good for first timers and experienced rafters, this pool drop stretch of river makes it fun and safe for just about everyone. This full day mixes just the right amount of exciting whitewater and scenic views of fourteen thousand ft. peaks and granite canyon walls. Float through Browns Canyon enjoying classic rapids such as Zoom Flume, Widow Maker, and Siedel's Suck Hole. This collection of rapids makes Browns Canyon one of the best river runs in the U.S. We also stop in the canyon to enjoy a BBQ lunch.

Arkansas River / Browns Canyon Half Day


A classic, this ½ day trip is one of the best in the U.S. Granite canyon walls and fourteen thousand ft. peaks are the backdrop for challenging rapids such as Pinball, Zoom Flume, Big Drop and others. Take a couple of hours out of your day and explore one of the classic whitewater stretches in Colorado.

Arkansas River / Narrows


The Narrows is a continuous stretch of class 3-4 whitewater packed with one rapid after another. This makes for nonstop paddling, fun and excitement along with beautiful views of fourteen thousand ft. peaks, such as Mt. Harvard, Mt Princeton and others. This trip does include the BBQ lunch.

Arkansas River / Narrows / Browns Canyon 2 Day


Set out on your first day for an exciting trip through the Narrows section of the Arkansas River. Stop and set up camp alongside the river for the night, where we will cook you a gourmet dinner. Wake up to a hardy breakfast the next morning and put on the river for an exciting full day in Brown's Canyon. All meals are included. Camping gear rental can be arranged.

Arkansas River / Royal Gorge Full Day


The Arkansas River flows through an 1,100 ft deep canyon, at this point creating the Royal Gorge, one of Colorado's most popular natural wonders. Float under the Royal Gorge Bridge, while challenging such rapids as Sunshine Falls, Sledgehammer, Boat Eater, and many others. This trip is for aggressive paddlers only who are in good physical shape and know how to swim. This trip does include a BBQ lunch.

Arkansas River / Numbers Full Day


This extreme continuous stretch of class 5 water is for experienced and aggressive paddlers only. One of the toughest sections of whitewater on the Arkansas River, it's not for everyone, but for those who take the challenge, it's a trip of a lifetime. Rafters looking to run the Numbers must have previously rafted class 4 rapids with Highside Adventure Tours, be in good physical shape and be able to swim.
COST: $105.00 full day trip $75.00 ½ day
